About Us

Lola Maja (working as Lolliepop) has been a recognised makeup artist for over 14 years. She initially worked freelance for major brand name beauty companies until taking the role as makeup artist with the original team to launch Iman Cosmetics at the flagship counter in Selfridges, London (1997) for 2 years.

Lola went on to provide personal makeup shopping services and one-on-one makeover events, later establishing Sacred City (www.sacred-city.com). Sacred focuses on catwalk, studio photographic and of course, wedding makeup. Experience as a Beauty and Lifestyles editor for Noir Magazine and appearances on radio shows and events all contribute towards the driving force behind Sacred.

My Sacred Wedding was established as a seperate company focusing solely on making your special day run as smootly as possible. We have a team of highly experienced make-up artists, hairdressers and beauty therapists who work with you in advance, attending to your needs and creating a look that reflects who you are and who you truly want to be. We cater for all ethnic skin tones. Many makeup artists do not fully understand makeup for asian, oriental, african and carribean women. The result tends to be either too red, too flat, or too ashy.  Sacred makeup artists can custom blend a perfect foundation for you. We work with your undertones making sure that the finish is as natural as possible. This sets us apart from the majority.
