Suborna
On the 13th April 2008 we were delighted to work with Suborna. A truly lovely 25 year old bride who's personality touched everyone around her.
To keep in tune with her very traditional Bangladeshi wedding, Suborna wished to stay with red and gold tones in her makeup. However, as we wanted to reflect her bubbly nature we opted for a sophisticated hairstyle which was still playful and wouldn't age her. Flat twists to one side added interest while curls piled at the top added height beneath her heavy veil.
We stayed with Suborna thoughout the morning preparing her hair and makeup to include arranging her dress and full jewellery. Hair services were also provided for her bridal party including mother, aunty and one of Suborna's young nieces.
The beautiful ceremony was held in Stanmore and it was a very emotional affair for everyone involved. Good thing we used a waterproof eyeliner and mascara!!

Arwa
Arwa's beautiful traditional asian wedding was held over 3 days in March 2008. We were delighted to pamper her over the last 2 days. We prepared her with a relaxing facial (avoiding any steaming or extraction so as not to irritate the skin) and a moisturising pedicure. We then applied temporary nail extensions with a mini manicure. To finish the look we agreed on two different nail polish colours to compliment her outfits on both days.
Although Arwa's hair would be covered by a heavy scarf on both days in accordance with Muslim tradition, we wanted her to feel confident in the knowledge that when she removed the veil in the evenings her hair stayed in place and was as beautiful as possible.
On both days both Lola and Yemisi stayed with her until the very last moments, helping her to dress and arrange her jewllery.
Judi
We were honoured to be present at the beautiful wedding of Judi and Karl in November 2007. Although the couple lived in Hertfordshire, we travelled down to Glousterchire for a red and white romantic affair.
We prepared Judi for her big day with a course of aromatherapy facials spread out over the preceeding 6 weeks. On the day itself, we arrived early and performed a final facial and a relaxing manicure.
Over a series of consultations, we worked out the perfect look which would last through the afternoon all the way into the evening. Judi wanted a slightly retro 1920s feel to her hair and makeup. We first tried a finger wave as Judi's hair was normally styled in a shoulder length bob. In the end we opted for waves at the front with a long ponytail hair extension braided into a complex bun which was then decorated with diamonte and pearl hair pins. Matching blood red lipstick and nail polish finished off the effect. Not for the faint hearted.
The final look was very sophisticated, very glamorous and very individual to Judi's own personal sense of style.
As part of the total package, we also attended to her bridal party, styling the hair of her two sister-in-laws and her new mother-in-law.

Derin
The wedding of Derin & Tunde in August 2007 was an intimate luxurious event at the Jumariah Hilton by Sloane Square. It was even more special as the bride was expecting their first child within the next few months.
We opted for soft warm shades, to work with her glowing skin which was prone to excessive oils due to the pregnancy. We also treated her hair in advance, then deciding on a suitable style which would last through the day, add detail without being too fussy. Derin's flowers and gown were specially made for her, in keeping with the simple but effective theme, we co-ordinated pearl hair pins to match her bouquet and gown.
To top the night off, as a special surprise, for their first dance, the groom flew in award winning artist 2Face Idibia to serenade her with his beautiful song "African Queen".
Truly touching.

Tash
"When Kane becomes Lane" was the tag line for this wedding in June 2007. The day was held at the Laines Barn in Oxfordshire. The perfect setting for a match made in heaven!
Tash wanted a very simple but visible look. We opted for tones of brown and gold to complement her colour scheme and her skin tone. After all, we didn't want to distract from the gorgeous custom fitted dress!
Serena, MOG & Bonnie
We all know it's supposed to be the Brides big day. But what about the Groom's family? Sadly the other side seldom get the attention they deserve. After all the Mother of the Groom is a very important person as well!
In June 2007 we attended upon Serena (Grooms Sister), her Mother and Bonnie (Sister-in-Law). It was a lovely day with the reception being held at the historic Syon House.
We prepared the looks in advance to ensure the perfect result. Due to a lack of time they sent through images of their wedding outfits which meant that I could discuss their needs extensivly before the big day.

Amanda
In November 2006 we travelled to Lagos, Nigeria for the wedding of the Year! This two part event consisted of an African "Traditional" Wedding and a Catholic "White" Wedding.
Due to the heat we had to pay very special attention to the foundation and the eyeshadow we were using. Amanda was under 24/7 constant attention to make sure that her look stayed fresh throughout the day. Hair extensions were also added to add volume and detail to Amanda's short hair.
During the Traditional wedding she changed outfits no less than 5 times in one day with matching makeup!
Thankfully we only had to change once for the White Wedding.
Laure
This beautiful couple have been together almost forever! They have two adorable children who were made the perfect flower girls. The wedding was held at a Registry Office with the reception at Decorum in Wood Green.
Laure wanted the perfect fairytale wedding. We opted for simple colours maximum glow. Her dress was handmade for her by dress designer extraordinare Mervlyn. It was literally delivered on the day! As Laure only had one change through the evening she kept her base and eye shadow the same opting for a gloss which would wear off easily without any tacky residue.
This lovely image has been used in Bridal Magazines. You can see why!
Hua
When Hua married Kalo it was a wedding where the Orient and Africa came together to celebrate. The registry wedding and reception was held in Ealing Town Hall with the Church Serivce being held at a lovely converted Church in East Ealing.
Hua wanted a natural look but she still wanted some visable colour to warm up her skin tone. After a few trial runs we opted to use soft pink and gold shadows with glossy sheer pink lips and after consultation we decided to go for a intricate yet secure bun. Hua had to change three times through the day ranging from her simple white wedding dress to the full nigerian attire and a traditional oriental gown as well as matching headgear for each outfit. Therefore both her makeup and her hair needed to be able to reflect all the colours and styles of the day.
